ABOVEGROUND STORAGE TANKS (AST)

In the state of California any significant release or threatening release of hazardous material requires immediate reporting to CUPA. As of 2008 CUPA implemented the Aboveground Petroleum Storage Act (APSA) that regulates facilities with above ground storage tanks with capacities of 55 gallons or more.
An aboveground storage tank is defined as an above ground storage tank or storage tank with a capacity to store 55+ gallons or petroleum that is substantially or completely above the surface of the ground.

Services We Provide:

• Prepare SPCC Tier I and Tier II qualified facility under 10,000 gallons
• Prepare SPCC plans for facilities that have AST
• Prepare plans and file permit for repair and construction
• Visual inspections of ASTs
• Annual AST training for SPCC submittal
• Prepare SPCC Plan for tanks in Policy standard over 55 gallons diesel in high rise buildings in compliance with TUIGA guidelines
• Conduct monthly and annual AST inspections
• Conduct line and take integrity test
